  • Mashpee retains a significant population of Wampanoag Indians to this day.
  • The Mashpee Indian Museum is a good place to learn more about the Indian history and culture.
  • Original industries of farming and fishing/whaling started to move towards tourism in the early 1900's and has escalated to this day.
